Faith. Knowledge. Growth.

Empower. Educate. Transform

La Salle Educational Center, Homestead, is a coeducational, Lasallian Catholic ministry dedicated to transforming lives. Rooted in the charism and pedagogy of St. John Baptist de La Salle, we empower students through a rigorous holistic educational experience, fostering their spiritual growth, developing critical thinking and integrity, and providing social outreach. Committed to inclusion and accessibility, we serve as a beacon of opportunity, especially for those most in need, fostering leaders of conscience, compassion, and commitment to the common good.

About Us

What is Lasallian Education?

Saint John Baptist de La Salle founded the Brothers of the Christian Schools in the late 17th century. In the almost 300 years since his death in 1719, Lasallian schools have been founded in over 80 countries around the world and presently educate over one million students. These schools include elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, schools for troubled youth, universities, graduate schools, and alternative education centers.
What are the essential elements of that vision? Though they can find different articulations, the following five principles are at the core of our mission and of all Lasallian schools:

Faith in the Presence of God The Lasallian school nurtures belief in the living presence of God in our world. Faith in the presence of God calls all students into a deeper awareness of their saving relationship with a caring and loving God and to see the world through the “eyes of faith”. This core principle is reflected each day through the Lasallian expression of faith: “Let us remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.”

Educating Minds, Uplifting Souls.

Lasallian education is grounded in the principles of faith, service, and community, fostering an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds can thrive. Rooted in the teachings of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, this educational approach prioritizes individualized attention, holistic development, and social responsibility. With a focus on academic excellence, character formation, and compassionate leadership, Lasallian education equips students with the skills and values necessary to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Through innovative teaching methods, experiential learning opportunities, and a commitment to social justice, Lasallian institutions empower students to become ethical leaders who are dedicated to serving others and creating a more just and equitable world.
